Back-To-School Office Decor
vision board as office decor

The end of summer means Back-to-School. This is the best time to invest in everything you and your family will need once the school year begins, saving you the headache of having to buy during the chaos of getting back into a routine. Make sure that your home office is stocked up for those late-night school projects from your kids or early morning calls from your job, with a few of these ideas:

Mix Business With Play
    • If you have young kids, make your home office a multifunctional space by designating an area for your children to play in while you work. You’ll actually get the best of both worlds with this deal, as you’ll be able to work and spend time with your family. Help your kids set up their own mini workspace so they can feel like mom or dad!

Shed Some Light on the Situation
      • Incorporating natural lighting in your home office will provide a calm environment and save you money and energy. This can also act as a distraction for your kids – encourage them to play “I spy” and investigate what’s outside.

Create To-Do Boards and Vision Boards
    • Get your kids involved and organized by creating a To-Do board and Vision board. With a to-do board, you’ll be able to keep them on track while also providing them with a creative way to stay organized. Since they’ll be involved in planning out their schedules, you’ll also be teaching them time management skills as well – helping you plan out your week while keeping your kids focused.
    • For a vision board, encourage your kids to visualize their goals for the month. Work together to create a vision board using cut-outs from magazines, posters, or pictures to help them feel confident and encouraged; consider including your own goals to make it a family-centric activity.

This Back-to-School season, make it your mission to create an office space that welcomes everyone in your family. Whether adding pops of fun colors to your walls or creating designated areas for your children to spend time in, have fun with it – don’t be afraid to get creative!
